neo·phil·ia: love of or enthusiasm for what is new or novel
Based in Toronto, Canada the OCAD University's off-campus program in Florence, Italy is proud to present Neophilia: The 39th Annual group exhibition featuring the interdisciplinary works from 27 of Toronto's top emerging artists. Each artist has spent the past eight months studying in Florence while working diligently in studios that date back to the Renaissance, producing a unique and exciting body of work.
Neophilia, “love of the new” is exactly what you will find in this dynamic group exhibition. This fresh look at Contemporary Art demonstrates new artistic approaches 27 artists have developed amidst the ancient beauty of Florence. Moving through the maze-like exhibition space, each room leads into a variety of works including drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, and video & sound installation.
